mix mup and kassem mosse started working together when they were producing the radio show "wellen der liebe" ("waves of love") together with volt ctrl. aka dj boys'r'us for a local radio station in leipzig,germany. after 2 years of monthly "wellen der liebe" broadcasts they decided to quit the show and adapt the essence of their collaboration for the stage. now the two successful artists and musicians are back with their new side-project:
"CHILLING THE DO"
their intense exciting hypnotizing gigs often last more than 4 hours that see mix mup and kassem mosse wandering through soundscapes crafted from every available source materials, shifting from intellectual chill-out music to intelligent nonsense. CTD are celebrating their own romantic world view on music and entertainment. working together they spread not only good vibrations and love, they also demonstrate glamorous virtuosity. the way they communicate with each other through music and language, as well as their tendency to push each other into new spheres of creativity (which sometimes also means utter failure) is their statement against todays clean electronic hi-fi sound aesthetic. todays clubs need chill-out areas!
CYNETART 2009 26.11. | 8pm :: opening at the festival theatre Hellerau with Roberto Zappalà and Poon Wei Ming
The 13th international festival for computer based art CYNETART is going to provide a collective atmospheric picture for the reflection on digital culture from 26 November until 06 December 2009 at the festival theatre Hellerau. This will be done by a variety of event formats, such as Automatic Clubbing, a presentation of the output of the European Tele-Plateaus project and the first VIPA-Congress.
Video- and performance-installations as well as a meditative computer game will be shown within Automatic Clubbing from 26 until 28 November. This will be embedded in electronic music by Monolake, eLBee BAD & friends, Jacob Korn or Paul St. Hilaire with Scion.

während andere vor dem TV-Gerät sitzen und 44 Männerbeinen (richtig gerechnet?) beim rumrennen auf ´nem grünen Platz zusehen fährt er durch verwiatse Dörfer und filmt die Leere. Könnte man sich einen besseren Gast für Mrs. Pepsteins Welt wünschen? Wohl kaum!
