Time to wipe of the the mud from those Womad wellies and dig out your dancing shoes .Formed in Harare capital city of zimbabwe,Chimanimani take their name from Zimbabwe’s sacred mountain along which winds a path so narrow , that in places it’s necessary to make a “chimanimani” (walk sideways). But no-one wants to walk to the band’s music! Chimanimani embodies everything expected from a vibrant African dance band. Expect up-beat and infectious rhythms, jangling guitar melodies and haunting vocals , a place where funky bass riffs fly.

We, the Baobab Family run a house for homeless orphans in Mikidani, a suburb of Mombasa, Kenya. Recently we started a hiv-awareness & care programm in kenya couse we cannot stand aside and just look on how the people are dying and more and more orphans are forced to live on the streets of Africa. If you are interested in our work please take the time to have a look at the "Forthcoming targets" page on our website (http://baobab-family-project.org/index.php?id=1&L=1).
