In 2004, he relocated from Stockholm to Berlin, but it was when travelling around Colombia that the songs really began to emerge and recordings began in earnest. Chimneyheart offers songs of exuberant guitar pop and jaded emotions, often filtered through offbeat angles. He has played solo live shows since Summer 2006. In Summer 2008, Chimneyheart completed his first EP, a bright package of quirky pop.
