A concoction made up of innocence and a little bit of filth. China Red inject catchy melodies laced with programmed soundscapes to trigger past, drunken memories of ‘Good Times, Late Nights and Heartbreakers’.
The quirky electronic, self made sounds, blended with live vocals, drums, guitar and trumpet helps give the fresh, China Red, trademark sound that has been dosed with a few inspired shots of Basement Jaxx, Faithless and High Contrast, before sending you on a journey from house to pop to drum n bass and back again.
The band spent the summer of 2009 playing at open air festivals around the UK, most notably, 'BugJam' and 'The Wakes'. They were also fortunate enough to play as support to one of their biggest influences, New Zealand based, DnB band, 'Shapeshifter'.
China Red have just finished recording their first single with Dave Pemberton (Prodigy, Groove Armada, Goldfrapp) and is due for release at the start of 2010.
Dec 8, 2009 Give This Red rose to everyone you don't want to lose in 2010,including me, if that's what is in your heart.Try to collect 12; it's not easy! XXXOOO
