GeneralHERES A LIST OF QUESTIONS POSED BY DEEPAK CHOPRA AND MY ANSWERS... * What is my principal life focus? to find a way to live with out causing harm to myself, human kind, the environment, to use our powers as humans in a productive, not destructive way. this work is on all levels, from shooting and bombing, to using "harmless" pesticides in food, chemicals in clothing, etc. and to find a way to break the cycle of serfdom that has existed since midieval times so that all people can live equally, fruitfully, and pursue their own personal talents, dreams, and gifts in life * What have I felt when I have had a peak experience (transcendental moment or epiphany?) every breathe i take is another epiphany in life * What contribution do I want to make in my life to my community and the world? I want to let people understand that they do not need to be so hard on themselves and others, that life is not as hard as they would lead us to believe. * Who are my heroes & heroines in history, religion, philosophy? (try to name five) Buddha, Bob Marley, Mother Teresa, Ayn Rand, and the longtime misused and abused Jesus Christ * What are the qualities I most admire in these heroes & heroines? Peacefulness, Wisdom, Respect for all living things, Action, the pursuit of their personal vision, regardless of the reciprocation. * What is the principal quality I look for in a good friend? Good Heartedness, Someone pursuing honesty and truth. * What are my unique skills and talents? Vision, Perception, Patience: the ability to see clearly from ancient eyes. And a flexible mind. * What are the best qualities I possess in my personal relations? Patience, Understanding, Open-mindedness, and I like to give others space to explore themselves. * How might I best put these skills and qualities into service for a peaceful, just and sustainable world? Keep doing what I'm doing, and grow closer to my true nature, allow others to do the same, so one day there will be so many of us that we will take the world back into safe hands, and save us from the path of destruction and decay that we have been on since the industrialization of the world WWW.MELISSACASEY.MYBLUELEAF.COM I love Miami. Now. At one time, I hated it so much that I left it. No nature no clean beaches no functional human beings at any of the parties. So I went to “that” place. And it was fun. And then I went to “that other” place, and it was fun too. and then the other place and the other place, and they were all fun. Beauty everywhere I went. In the wet jungles of Costa Rica when you breathed in, the air was damp and cool. And the cozy the clouds in Hawaii passed so low over the craggily green island that it showered it on their long way across the Pacific. They reach southern California, just a squint away from Mexico. Both sides of the border had their larger than life terrain, whether it was wide open deserts, or the countries tallest rock wall, largest tree, softest snowy mountains, or perfectly long waves that peeled themselves along the entire coast. It even had America’s largest fire blaze through. You could drive in a straight line for 6 hours, all you would see is orange blaze, black skies, and inhale fiery hot ash. Ooooh, and the solitude in Jamaica. In the bush it was always cool in the morning, You could wake up early, with the cock crow and darkness everywhere. The first color to arrive is always blue. Nothing like hearing a place wake up, everything goes about their business in a hushed way. And you are awake, you step outside, just to see the morning works and stretch your legs. Maybe this morning you will paint. Maybe you’ll even make love. But you have no intention of being in anything more than a dream state. Getting to be really awake comes in stages when you live in the bush. First it is dawn. Next comes sunrise, then midmorning, late morning, noon, afternoon, late afternoon, sunset, dusk, night and late night. And in any of those moments, you could be making love or painting or being in a dreamlike state. Afternoon to late afternoon were special because they were also the time for field trips…a bike ride to go fishing? Reading a book on the marina docks? Steam vegetables or janga soup at the beach? On special occasions it was ride out to the waterfalls. But most days, it was time to bathe and wash clothes, which was always my favorite thing to do. Because my bathroom was the River. The first time I visited the river was after three days and nights of nonstop rain and nonstop love making. It was fierce and cold, I shook with every step. The water rushed so loudly, all I could hear was myself floating around my head with a euphoric grin and my windows to the world so wide open that my soul was being aired out. A Queen in the river, full of nature life. COPYRIGHT 2006
MusicSitting in contemplation, one can find amazing insights from mundane things. It’s a matter of perspective. To ask questions and seek answers is a gift and blessing, to change perspective is to add another dimension to life. I sat in contemplation and found a world I didn’t know existed. The world consists of a synchronized group of individuals who move together as one. They sway from side to side, bounce, stretch all together. They break up into smaller groups and these groups although distinct, synchronize with one another. They are firmly rooted side by side and hold their ground for their entire existence. They are different from us in that they always maintain their harmony. It is a different world they live in, different laws of nature govern them. We have the ability to uproot. We cannot fly, but compared to those individuals who must maintain their place for the duration of their existence, our feet are like wings, and to run and jump is to take flight. The world of these individuals, their atmosphere, is made up of temporary orbs of radiating force, all unpredictable in their location and strength. The orbs begin at a stationary point, and send waves of radiating energy outward, and continue to do so until the orb runs out of power. These can be compared to our clouds, which begin pouring rain at some unpredictable place, and stop once the rain has run out. The orbs dictate the rhythm, the music, the heartbeat of this world, and unlike our heartbeat, which is steady, they are spontaneous and can happen in multiples. I watched the normal pattern of this newfound world and understood a bit of what existence meant in this realm. And then something out of the ordinary happened that defied all the rules of nature this world had previously known. Some unexplained “thing” came into their world, and the individuals who were close enough reached to touch it. Try as they might to grasp the “thing” the closer they got, the further they became. But it wasn’t just an intentional reaching, it was as if the “thing” had power to pull all those nearby, so that no individual could not possibly resist it. More over, when the “thing” moved over the group, it had the ability to break up each individual into tiny pieces of themselves, who scrambled to reassemble into a whole. It was interesting to watch the chaos and reassemblage and I wondered how the individuals felt, how they processed the experience, and what their interpretation would be. Because from my view I could see that this group was nothing more than a reflection of a palm frond on the surface of a pond. Their heartbeat orbs were koi fish feeding on pellets of food, and the mysterious “thing” was a leaf that fell from the trees above and sailed around the pond. And it makes me ask the question...”what surface am I living on, and what does my pond look like?” COPYRIGHT 2006

Hey girl, what's up? It's been a long time. How's your baby girl doing? I'm down under chilling with the roos. I wish you and tumbao would be here. You'll get really good inspiration for your paintings and good musical ideas for tumbao.
