About me: I began my career as a graphic designer in the early 80's designing flyers for punk rock bands.I also designed some album covers and posters for bands such as Los Fabulosos Cadillacs,Calavera,etc... In addition,I co-produced music videos and television commercials too. However, ultimately there was something about all these jobs that i did not find fulfilling...I discovered tattooing in 1988 while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina at that time and place was extremely difficult to find the neccesary materials to start working in the field.
Without the benefit of having an actual teacher I nevertheless delved into this wonderful world.
With some good will and a lot of heart, i started sketching designs, aquiring some materials and inevitably gained some clients along the way, after establishing myself as a legitimate tattoo artist. I opened one of the first street tattoo shops in argentina with my partner and friend Judass. For awile, I worked at some of the most prestigious tattoo shops in and around Argentinas as well.
However, I am proud of opening the renowned "Chinese's Tattoo Cocktail Lounge"...For me, this became a temple where i was able to everything that I love under the room: Woman, tattoos, friends,art gallery, sushi and drinks....What else could I have asked for besides this paradise....well a stable country perhaps
Unfortunately,the economic reality political instability of Argentina nearly ruined all my dreams and life long efforts...
Because of the overall climate of uncertaity in Argentina, I decided to free myself from any attachments there.I startes traveling around the world and learning from differents cultures. In the process, i encountered a broad spectrum of interesting characters,ranging from the good and evil to the beatiful and the grotesque from eclectic sources.
I learned that being a tattoo artist is not easy, it is not a medium that entirely dependent on how well one can draw. In order to become a well rounded tattoo artist one need to possess the ability to sketch,draw and make quality designs...In addition and perhaps even more signicantly one need to possess a well balanced mixture of style,imagitation,magic and glamour...To find a tattoo artist who can blend this extraordinary mixture of quakity is rare.It is not a characteristic that can be attained simply by graduating from an art school or academy.
Instead I believe that is a quality can be only be offered such as my self who has a wealth of life experiences behind him...
