I discovered my love for acoustic guitar shortly after high school, performing most of my career with bassist/vocalist Brian Wilson. I spent the next few years in an acoustic trio honing my skills in the college bar-scene of Frostburg State University before taking the music to Ocean City, MD. What was supposed to be a summer stint at the beach turned into three years playing bars, coffee houses and colleges up and down the coast.
Surviving the coastal jaunt, I returned home to western MD and began exploring the blues as one of the original members of The Channel Cats blues' band. The band had the memorable opportunity to perform at the Rocky Gap Country Festival, sharing the festival spotlight with Sam Bush, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Willie Nelson. After an exciting two years I left the Channel Cats to again focus my concentration on the acoustic guitar.. returning to my passion for the "un-plugged" (although there still seems to be alot of cords involved.)
Over the next few years I continued to juggle acoustic bookings with a busy schedule of full-band gigs with Full Circle. Somewhere in the course of our travels, Brian and I crossed paths with drummer/vocalist, John Macy. John, one of the most talented percussionists I've had the pleasure to play with allows me to explore those classic-rock favorites, built on strong harmony, while incorporating my acoustic stylings into a dynamic three- often four-piece group.
Residing now in Baltimore, MD, I have spent the last fifteen years playing in both the Baltimore/Annapolis area as well as Deep Creek Lake. I have had the pleasure of performing at numerous venues, including the Little Yough Music Festival, Canalfest, and the Freedom Blues Festival and have shared the festival stage with national acts Los Lobos, Allison Krauss and Sally Taylor (daughter of music legends James Taylor and Carly Simon).
