TelevisionI don't watch TV, but I dig Futurama, The Office, Arrested Development, and Battlestar Galactica. I am presently on a marathon run of the X-Files, all nine seasons, in order.
Dancer
BooksH.P. Lovecraft, F. Paul Wilson, Karl Edward Wagner, Robert Howard, Jack McDevitt, Joe McKinney, Philip Jose Farmer, Ian Banks, Larry Niven, Jim Butcher, George Martin, Charles Sheffield, Paul Russo, Umberto Eco, Richard Morgan, Brian Keene, Neal Asher, and others. I am a big fan of horror fiction and hard SF; strangely even though I love fantasy gaming, I only enjoy the older vintage fantasy works of Howard, Ashton Smith, C.L. Moore, Lieber, Carter, Moore, Moorcock and so forth. Been reading a lot of Lin Carter lately.
HeroesThe authors Robert Howard and Phillip Jose Farmer. These two have profoundly impressed me with their fiction, and been greater sources of inspiration in my own writing than anyone else. Howard, not just for his Hyborian Conan mythos, but all of his fine works done in such a short time, and P.J. Farmer who is hands down the master of weird fantasy, and for whom I can never thank enough for The World of Tiers, Riverworld, and beyond.

About me:
I'm a not-so-recent immigrant to New Mexico, an avid gamer (paper and pencil kind especially!), with a strong interest in archaeology and writing. I have a few published works under my belt, and am working on more. I've got a web site with free material for gaming at http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/ancientworlds.
In MMOs these days I am pretty much exclusively in to Age of Conan now. Look for Amilius or Sythinira on the Set server!
A partial bibliography of my recent published works:
Mongoose Publishing: Tales of the Black Kingdoms, Messantia Adventures Boxed Set Books 2 and 3
Outlaw Press: Aberdan's Folly and others
Zodiac Gods Publishing: Troll's Companion, Keepers of Lingusia, Realms of Chirak (imminently forthcoming)

Writers and Artists Needed
for The Sorcerer's Scrolls Magazine
I'm restarting my old publication, The Sorcerer's Scrolls," as a magazine available both as a bi-monthly ezine and print edition. I'm working on the distribution package right now, and am recruiting authors and artists who are interested in contributing. The key things to know are:
This is not presently a paying gig; free issues containing your work are all I can offer at the moment. This can help build a portfolio for those interested, or you can enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your work in print.
You retain all copyrights; I am getting a right to print the piece in the given issue and all reprints of that issue. Once it's published in TSS, you retain all rights to it; I do not believe in copyright ownership of someone else's work; it's yours!
Anyway, the theme of TSS is fantasy, horror and science fiction. I would like it to be a 50/50 gaming and fiction focus; gaming should focus on popular and indie games alike; an ideal issue as I see it will include a couple articles on indie games and a couple articles for use with the current edition of D&D or somesuch. The fiction can and should be whatever you like. I don't want "gaming fiction" as such, unless it's good. I have seen some quality gaming fiction, though, so that's not a restriction, just a suggestion. By fantasy, SF and horror I also include "weird" in that definition. If you want to contribute, but are not sure your fiction qualifies, send it in! I'll read it over and let you know. The genres are broader than some people realize.
Other articles on product reviews and overviews are also welcome. The one thing I want to avoid is opinion pieces, rants, and time-sensitive topical issues, which are all the domain of the bloggosphere, and no longer magazine friendly.
Okay, feel free to contact me if you have more questions. First issue is scheduled for the end of December, with bi-monthly issues thereafter.

Who I'd like to meet:
I think I've met enough people for now, thanks! Come back next year.
No, seriously: all you have to be is interesting.
