HERE IS WHERE YOU'LL SEE THE OTHER 3 ELEMENTS OF HIP HOP BESIDES MC'ING! STAR WARS FANS WAIT FOR THIS ONE! I PROMISE IT'S WORTH IT!Books
I will not give you a long pretentious listing of books that I've read (when in fact, I know the use of the word pretentious is very pretentious but it's fun to say ain't it?) My favorite piece of non fiction is the Autobiography of Malcolm X. My favorite piece of fiction is A Simple Plan. We can discuss them in depth some other time.Heroes

About me:
I am a 36 year old man living in Little Rock, Arkansas. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. When I was a teenager in Chicago, there was a college radio station that introduced me to NWA, Schooly D, Ice T, BDP, and others. Any Hip-Hop classics you can think of from the early years, I heard on 87.5 WHPK. Thus began my lifelong love affair with Hip-Hop. Around 1998 I began to fall out of love with Hip-Hop. I saw the music being pushed out of the public consciousness and pop rap became the music du jour. I had stopped buying albums as the focus of the music shifted from lyricism and quality of music, to partying and giving the facade of being rich. As with any relationship, I wasn't getting what I needed so I considered severing my ties and keeping it stricly old school. Then I met an M.C. by the name of Poisioned Fetus. He showed me that Hip-Hop wasn't gone, but it wasn't where I had been looking for it. He showed me where to find it and now I am more in love than ever before. I'm saying all this to say that I want to reintroduce you to that feeling. I have a Hip-Hop show called "The Old School, New School, Need to Learn Though" show that airs on 88.3fm KABF in Little Rock and www.kabf.com online. I also have a "My Favorite Song" mailing list. I e mail my current favorite song to you, all you have to do is e mail me at mikejordan88@rocketmail.com and I'll send it right to you. My station is not at all affiliated with Clear Channel and it is a T-Pain free zone. If that's your thing, get at me and I'll let you know when I'll be on again. I play old school, new school, and whatever else I feel is Hip-Hop. I want to share REAL Hip-Hop with the world, so each one teach one, tell a friend. Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com!
