About me:
I've working art director in advertising agency for 9 years.
Sometimes the thought pops up in my mind: the two main purposes of life are to get feed and to breed. It might not be a bad thing to trade them for freedom. Thats how life is. Your destiny is pre-determined. All the efforts to make a difference might be meaningless and end up in vain.
Sinkiang, the westernmost part of China is famous for her fascinating beauty. Everyone feels so small in front of gods creation. Most people likes landscape photography, and they will not intentionally deny the natures power, just to manifest individuality. Yes, the true beauty cannot be denied. I stayed one week and meditate in snow mountain Hababor. In the end I realized it would be an unusual happiness to apprehend lifes smallness and fragility.
Beijing exists as the largest metropolis in China. Just like the Big Apple to U.S. In the eyes of a traveler, there might be a lot more difference between two cities. However, the fine distinction can be only discovered in details and niceties. Those obvious distinctions are none of my interests. I wish to study the city in depth and look into its substance. Some of my friends said I photographed too many obsolete aspects of the city. However, if a city has a face of vitality, it must have another face of degeneration at the same time.
In Susan Sontags On Photography, the author used lengthy pages elaborating the subject whether photography could be counted as an independent art form, and her answer is no. However, all the art forms are dealing with this universal subject to express different opinions on the world around us. Its a vain talk whether the photograph is of value. The main purpose of photograph is to testify the passage of time, otherwise its meaningless.
