My friends; music (performing and listening); my spirituality; sex; food; reading; Renaissance Faires; anything British; TV; parties; dancing; food; movies; cats; food; creative people; snakes; computer games; traveling...oh and did I mention food?
This is great. It's Ron and a couple of guest stars
The most important part of this message is to GO VOTE. Don't let indifference or apathy stop you from doing that.
And let me add for all my California friends...NO on Prop 8.
Music
Just about anything. From Bach to the Beatles. From Brahms to Black Eyed Peas. From fugues to the Fugees. There are even a couple of Eminem tracks that I like.
I sing in a women's choir, Vox Femina, and I perform with a singing partner in a cabaret act, Wayne and Brenda.
Here I am doing Josie and the Pussycat in a show called "Chew on This", starring my friend, Gilmore Rizzo. (He's the one introducing us. Don't laugh too hard...you might hurt yourself.
Movies
Where do you want to start? It would be easier to tell you what I don't like. I'm not crazy about slasher movies, so I haven't seen too many of those.
***I like anything that has a good story, intelligent writing and great acting. Sci Fi, Fantasy, chick flicks, comedies, action movies, thrillers, musicals. If it's good, I'll be there.
***Maybe one day I'll sit down with a movie book and just list the ones I like. Stay tuned.
***I don't have a movie book, so I'll just go with whatever comes to mind. King Kong (1933 and 2005); The Lord of the Rings Trilogy; All the Harry Potters, so far; StarWars episodes 4,5,6(not the special edition); Serenity; Godfather 1, 2; Shrek 1,2; Cabaret; West Side Story; Frankenstein; Bride of Frankenstein; Son of Frankenstein; Young Frankestein; Dracula (1930); Casablanca; Gone with the Wind; Blazing Saddles; Early Marx Bros; Laurel and Hardy; Monty Python and the Holy Grail; Time Bandits; Princess Bride; Full Monty;Platoon; most of the Merchant Ivory films; Like Water for Chocolate; any musical from the 30's and 40's. Okay...I'll break down and confess my weakness for Shirley Temple movies; Brokeback Mountain
Television
I am a TV addict. But, I don't watch just anything...well maybe I do. A lot of my favorite shows have gone away over the past few years. And there really hasn't been much to replace them.
It might be easier to do this day by day...these are "don't want to miss" shows...
Sunday...Simpsons; but i'm forgoing those for the last episodes of West Wing; Desparate Housewives; Gray's Anatomy
Monday...Medium
Tuesday: I have choir rehearsal, so I miss Scrubs...but I get home in time to watch Law & Order: SVU.
Wednesday: Okay...I confess. I'm an "America's Next Top Model" fan. (So sue me. Fortunately...if I can't stand the girls I'll switch over to "Bones"). Then the repeat of "Veronica Mars" (which i'm glad they're doing or else I would miss it since the switch to Tuesday nights); Law & Order.
Thursday: Well...I'm trying to watch the last episodes of "Will and Grace". I've become a fan of "My Name is Earl". It's funny!! "The Office" is weird, but I like it and "ER" had been my Thursday show since the beginning. I can't give up on it now.
Friday..."Stargate SG1" and now I'm so excited about the new "Dr Who". I love it. "Monk" when it's on.
Saturday: I catch with all the cable shows I missed over the week; Top Chef; Real World; Food Network; then if I like the host and the band, I'll stay up for Saturday Night Live.
Now this is when I don't have anything else to do. I have rehearsals, dinner with friends, movies and other stuff, but if I'm at home this is what I watch.
***These are some of the shows I loved that have gone off the air for one reason or another: Frasier; Buffy; Angel; Xena; Hercules; Friends; Firefly; Joan of Arcadia; Wonderfalls; Mystery Science Theater 3000;***
NEW SEASON - NEW SHOWS; Studio 60...;Heroes; Ugly Betty; 30 Rock
Oh this is one of those, "don't get me started" lists. There are too many to name, but I'll give you the genres.
Quest novels. You know...those three to seven volumes of adventure; of finding oneself by going through trials and tribulations.
Romance: straight, bi and lesbian
Erotica: straight, bi and lesbian
Sci Fi and Fantasy...I wish I had a dragon.
non fiction if I like the subject.
Mysteries...nothing like a good one.
I don't read books just because they are best sellers. But, I do read authors.
Heroes
Martin Luther King, Jr; Queen Elizabeth I; Eleanor Roosevelt; Marian Anderson; any working mom, who manages to raise independent, loving kids; anyone who's willing to fight for the good of all; anyone who's down in the dumps, but still manages to lend a helping hand to someone else;
You are part Cinderella. You are hard-working and never complain, however, your trust is sometimes misplaced and people sometimes take advantage of you. Still, you are beautiful inside and out, and one day you will realize it and find true love.
You are part Pocahontas. You defy convention and sometimes do what is considered taboo. Unfortunately, others do not always appreciate your differences, so it's good that you are so strong-willed. You are loyal and you believe in fate. Your true love will find you one day.

Peace, Joy and Love, my friends. Thanks for dropping by.,
A little about me. I was born and raised in Los Angeles during the baby boom years and I've lived here most of my life. I've been married twice and was in one long term relationship, all with really nice men. I'm an entertainer but, I work at UCLA to pay my rent.
Singing is my passion. I do a cabaret act with my lovely second ex-husband and we go by the name "Wayne and Brenda". Real original, huh? We do songs from musicals, originals, old standards and we do a lot of comedy. We sing all over LA. I also sing with Vox Femina Los Angeles, a women's choir that is sister to the LA Gay Men's Chorale
I'm metaphysical in my beliefs, bisexual in my orientation and liberal in my politics. I live with two fuzzy cats in an apartment in the Hollywood hills.
I love meeting new people who are intelligent, witty, creative with a good sense of humor. I love to laugh.
Who I'd like to meet: Generally: anyone with a great sense of humor, who is kind, has common sense and shows common courtesy; who has an open mind and is respectful of ALL people.
****
Specifically; I have to think on that for a minute.****
At the moment, the person I'd like to meet is John Barrowman, star of "Torchwood". He's an openly gay actor in the UK, but because of his looks and personality he has built a tremendous fan base (male and female) all over the world. He truly is one of the handsomest men I've seen. But, what makes him special is that he fits my criteria above.
..
Just passin thru to let u know, music from the "Sample Platter" album, new remixes, a new music video & some fresh performance clips are just around the corner...keep up with me & lemme how u doing...peace

Sprinkle, squish between my toes, The smell of ocean to my nose. I can feel each grain of sand, It falls from air into my hand. The shells I find along the shore, Picked up by birds that fly and soar. They sparkle like the ocean's waves, And carry sand from all the lakes. I walk along the tip of the sea, That’s where my feet leave prints to be. I walk all the way to the end of the land, The land that holds this beautiful sand.
Hey Brenda... I made a mistake. lol It's Brown's Canyon, not Bouquet. Here's the link for the Pirate Fest in Chatsworth :) ... http://www.myspace.com/472883369
