Our mission is to combine the great "industry" talent with "Indie" and "unsigned" in order to provide a "platform" for the enormous talent here in the DC metro-area to be exposed!!! Chocolate City Soul has showcased National celebrities like comedienne, Tony Woods of BET’s Comicview, BR Burns, House Poet of the Michael Baisden Show, Lamont Carey of HBO’s The Wire and HBO's Def Poetry Jam and a host of up and coming local poets, hip-hop artists, singers, dancers, rappers and comediennes. Chocolate City Soul garnered the attention of the soon to be released movie, “Painted Smiles” and served as the back drop. Come visit us, You never know who may show up!!!
