Their mission from the very beginning was to lash out and deliver a severe beating squarely where it's been long overdue: On the increasingly commercialized & mediocre state of live music, as well as undervaluation and growing apathy toward the arts in general.

Chokeonnit quickly developed a reputation with their live shows; Being in the same room with the band during a performance is much like diving into a dumpster full of broken glass - in your birthday suit.
Hundred-watt stacks pushed to their absolute fragmenting limits - guttural screams, groans and whimpers leaving most PA systems a smoking overheated mess. Drums played with such splintering force, that microphones are pointless.
These people are pissed and somebody's gonna listen.
The recently released 5 song demo is a collection of dark, hard and deviously crafted post-punk wanting nothing more than to tear your heart out. A few of many songs concerning the dying arts, public image fetishes, capitalist religious zealots, existentialist conundrums, corporate control/destruction and true love. Ahh good times...
Hi there ChokeOnnit first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
