  • Bio

Chopper Trike Rebels formed in January 2010 with a goal to create heavy music in the metal genre while maintaining a groove that allows the band to appeal to a wide range of listeners. The band has successfully crossed over to fans of many musical genres from power metal to new metal to death metal. The band performs regularly at the major clubs in the Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia such as Ram's Head Live, Sonar, The Recher Theater, the Bourbon Street Ballroom and Jaxx. We have performed with national and international acts such as Paul Di'Anno (ex-Iron Maiden), Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), God Forbid, Diecast, Silent Civilian, Across the Sun, Throw the Fight and Sworn Enemy. The band is currently recording our first CD titled "Waking the Oppressed" in our studio. The CD includes twelve (12) original songs written exclusively by the band members. Mike Learn is drawing the CD cover artwork. Mike is a well-established artist with credential's that include the CD cover artwork for Megadeth's "The System Has Failed". The band completed the recording of two (2) songs in advance of the complete CD so that music could be posted to Facebook, MySpace and ReverbNation. These songs were not mastered but they are considered a solid mix and a good representation of the band and our material. The engineering and production was performed by the band, however, the final production and mastering will be outsourced. The band is currently working with Sensor Studios to develop our website. Sensor Studios is a well-established website developer for bands in the metal genre. Their credentials include well-established bands such as Trivium and Chimera. The site will not be active until the CD artwork is completed.

  • Sounds Like

"I must say I was totally into their music. Heavy as shit and the vocals were loud and in your face. I loved the sheer heaviness of the sound all mixed together. As I said it was in your face. This was not your down-tuned guitar mush; it cut right through and buried you. I'd say it even reminds me a little of "Down" meets "Corrosion of Conformity" in some aspects, but heavier. There was a lot of headbanging going on when they hit the stage and Maze will keep you in check as he is all over the stage. This is definitely, what you want in a frontman. Even a few jumped in for a little moshing action. Gotta love that….There were even a couple of great sweeping solos for the shredder in all of us. " Domonic Cappelletti - Revolution Magazine
