Producer Chop Steak fuses his diverse musical tastes and unique ideas to create an instantly recognizable signature style of hip hop and R&B. Elements of music from sources as diverse as 80's R&B, disco, blues, and styles of old school and modern hip hop that criss cross the country from east to west to south show up in his layered sound. He specializes in sampling, taking the musical ideas of others, chopping them to pieces, and then recombining them into something original. Never short of new ideas, however, he does compose and play non-sampled beats as well.
