I'm a sound engineer, recordist and musician. I record and mix in the studio, in venues and on location. I work with people, animals or machinery - indoors or outside. A little like a maglite, without the bulb, batteries or aluminium alloy.
Some people I've engineered for:
Freeform Five, Mark Eitzel, The Little Ones, Richmond Fontaine, White Russians, Volume, Scarlet Soho, The Resentments, John Parish, Pete and the Pirates, The Be Be See, John Power, Eileen Rose, Birdpen, Rachelle van Zanten, Whalebone Polly, Romanhead, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Chuck Prophet, Rude NHS, Chaser, Mark Morriss, Mark Gardener, Second Monday, Stem Project, Jay et Al, Luke Ducet, Neal Casal, Sice
Some things I've enjoyed doing recently:
Working as the monitor engineer on the Barn Stage at Truck Festival. Being stage manager on the main stage at Eastleigh festival. Setting up my mastering suite in Winchester. Starting a bespoke podcast recording service using my mobile Pro Tools rig. Going on tour with Scarlet Soho to Germany twice, Austria twice and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Doing sound for White Russians at the Astoria, Scarlet Soho at La Scala, Freeform Five in Barcelona and Poland and Birdpen at the Garage. Recording an album with Rachael Dadd entirely outdoors, on release in Japan. Doing sound for Whalebone Polly on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury. Being in house engineer for the Razorlight Show at the Railway in Winchester.

It’s a nob out!
Saturday 4th august @ the railway inn, winchsi-eed 8pm till 1am £5 entry (£2.50 before 9)
'My Name is Not Billy' (live) - Live electronica from former Big-ish Shoe front man. He'll be joined on stage by a couple of close show-bizz chums to get the room peaking like lab rats. He's on early so make use of the special offer, only £2.50 entry from 8 till 9!
'Spaghetti Machete' (live) - Star of Bristol's electronica scene makes a rare visit to winch to wop out his crunching and clattering beats. Classic end of the night wrongness.
'Sonaura' (live) - From Cambridge's glorious Mentalist collective, Sonaura makes gorgeous, multi-layered folktronica.
'The Pluto' (live) - Beautiful and intense post rock from this bass-less bournemouth three piece. Drunkenly swoon to their slow burning sonic rock.
'KILLblinton' (dj) - I'm finishing the night off with some glade inspired high-jinx and the lovely sinistry of mound deejays will be starting the night and filling the gaps betwixt live acts.
Plus visuals and the usual good vibes. See you next Saturday! xxx
