Hey Rik, Thanks a lot for yr message the other day! We're doing terrific at the mo and the new material is just about ready for recording which we'll be doing in August together with a guy called TJ Lipple from an amazing band called Aloha and Mick from Adebisi Shank. It should be good times and a rocking outcome. Our new stuff is a bit rougher and straight to the bone but still sexy. Really excited about it. Can't wait to tour the Uk again and I hope we'll get to play with you guys again! Looking forward to hearing yr new Ep, I'm sure it'll be bulls eye as always! Take care, say hi to Chris and see before we know it! Cheers // Klaus
Joan Of Arc The experimental indie rock gods from Chicago, Illinois. They began in 1995, following the break up of a former band, Cap'n Jazz. Members of Joan of Arc have been in many other bands including American Football, Owls, Ghosts and Vodka, Everyoned, and most recently Make Believe and Sharks and Seals.
Love Of Everything The solo project of Bobby Burg, member of Joan of Arc, Chin Up Chin Up and Make Believe.
This Town Needs Guns Intricate indie rock and catchy riffs, inspired by the increasingly influential Chicago scene and some of it's occupants (past and present) such as Owls, Don Caballero, and Maps and Atlases o. Stunning latest album 'Animals' was recently released on Big Scary Monsters to critical acclaim.
Castrovalva - heavy riffy bass and drums, kinda like lightening bolt but less self indulgent and more urgency, the best band to come out of leeds at the moment by a long shot. MT. positively lovely post rock from bristol via motive sounds, what post rock was always meant to be! We Came Out Like Tigers - Liverpool's only mathy postspazzgazecore super group. hey man, this should be good show, its free to so come on down!
"If Modest Mouse spent a year in a Chuck E Cheese ball pit, they might emerge sounding like the delightful Brooklyn quartet Bishop Allen. " (Rolling Stone)
Married To The Sea
Taking influence from The Weakerthans, Ted Leo and Death Cab to name but three, there’s a healthy pop sensibility to MTTS’ intelligent brand of indie-pop (The Fly)
brilliant set at saki the other day. i heard you didn't have any cd's with you so didn't want to pester you but would definately like to get my mitts on one soon. holly.
Your set last night was so good! I was stood next to a guy who shouted to his friend at one point "This is my kind of band! Guitar, drums..no fucking vocals!"
It was all great except the venue cut our set short cause they were running late which was a bit fucked but such is life ha, crowd was great though gonna put a video up a soon as I get the chance we had a laugh down there aswell just thankfull our van made it there and back lol. How are you man, any gigs recently? How'd they go? We really need to get ourselves a gig together it would be ace. Chris xxx
