Movies
I enjoy many different types and genres of movies, from drama and action to mystery and comedy to miscellaneous. Although Randall Wallace is good as well, my absolute favorite screenwriter is Charlie Kaufman, and I basically study everything I can about anything he writes. I love movies like Kaufman's that stretch your mind and are just plain interesting in a unique way. Incidentally, Nicolas Cage is probably my favorite actor, and I essentially enjoy all of his work. My favorite film of all time, though, is "The Man In the Iron Mask," which I've seen too many times to count. I also enjoy other heroic and romantic things as well, like "Titanic" and "The Mask of Zorro." And of course, you gotta love certain classics, such as "Pulp Fiction."
Television
American Dad, American Gladiators, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Boondocks, Drake & Josh, Family Guy, Fresh Prince, Gossip Girl, Hell's Kitchen, House, iCarly, Journeyman, Judge Alex, K-Ville, Kitchen Nightmares, My Wife and Kids, The O.C., Prison Break, Rachael Ray, Samantha Who?, The Sarah Silverman Program, Seinfeld, Shark, The Simpsons, South Park, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Suite Life on Deck, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, That '70s Show, Veronica Mars, Weeds, Will & Grace
Books
I mostly read non-fiction, including business, as well as a lot of theology, philosophy, history and politics - especially material by the Reformers, Puritans and Confederates, as well as classical Greek and Roman works. Some of the few pieces of fiction I enjoy are Beowulf, Lord of the Flies and Fahrenheit 451. I also read hobby-related material.
..
About me: I am very passionate and committed to things I care about, such as Reformed theology, smart business, folk music and premium beers, though the first of those certainly entails a greater type of life commitment and passion than the latter three. One of the ways I sometimes express such things is through writing, including essays and also poetry. I'm also a dork who enjoys just hanging out and having a good time with friends a lot!
