Chris McVetta thinks the one good thing I can say about Fox News is that it gives all the angry old white men a place to hang out other than a food court! 昨天。 檢視更多
關於我: PARDON OUR DUST: We are hard at work (again) on building "a new Death Star" over in the MySpace Comedy section! (Well ...those damn Ewoks keep blowing it up!)
Chris McVetta is a freelance comedy writer and stand-up comic living in The Rock 'n Roll city: Cleveland, Ohio! His first job in journalism was with The Free Times where he worked with such writers as Marc Jaffe ("Seinfeld"), Mark Winegardner ("The Godfather Returns") and Harvey Pekar ("American Splendor") while scribbling comedy gems.
Chris has published hundreds of articles on sports, comedy, and pop culture with The Free Times, Scene, The Plain Dealer and Sports Jam! ...among others. Chris was a co-founding member of the comedy group, "The Public Squares" where he wrote such sketches as:
* "Scooby, Doo The Right Thing (A Spike Lee-Snow Ghost Joint),"
* "Dennis Kucinich: The Phantom Menace," and
* "Bend It Like Belichick."
Chris is an alumni of The Second City sketch writing program and his scribblings have been recognized nationally by msnbc.com and Entertainment Weekly - and his writing was recently described as "A blast! Like a double-shot of cappuccino to the system!" by a fellow writer from the Greater Cleveland Writers/Bloggers Association.
Chris was invited to participate in a "sports town hall meeting" with Mark Shapiro and Phil Savage recorded for Sports Time Ohio last summer. In 2006, Chris was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Progressive Field for his home team, The Cleveland Indians.
Most recently, Chris has shared the stage with some of the best and brightest national comics working in the comedy business today, including Michael Kosta, Jeff Caldwell, Rocky LaPorte, Matt Kazam, Jamie Kaler, Orny Adams and Jeff Dye - among a multitude of other talented national comedy acts touring the nation!
Chris has been coined "the pop culture comic" of Cleveland - riffing on everything from the Pet Rock to Sasquatch to the ShamWow! - and he just recently produced his very own independent comedy show "Law & Disorder: Comedic Intent" to rave reviews at Bogey's Comedy Club and is currently producing and starring in a new show ("Raiders of the Lost Snark") for his latest sketch comedy group and The Improv Network.
He has trained with the legendary Dave Schwensen ("A&E's Night at The Improv") and is currently working clubs around the Northeast region and beyond - and Chris is coming to a comedy club near you SOON!
我想認識: Steve Martin, Jon Stewart, The Snow Ghost from "Scooby-Doo," and, hot damn, anybody who loves the world of comedy as much as I do!
Yo, Chris--sorry I haven't been checking here more often--no disrespect intended! Pure incompetence! I don't have any C-Town hookups in the hizzy, zup boyee!
Hey Chris thanks for being my newest friend. Yes I will be at Bogey's on July 25th 10am-2pm for a little writing/performance workshop/seminar networking event I call my Comedy Dojo. I hope to see you there.
VERY EXCITING! I can't wait! You have done such an awesome job putting this all together. I cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of this. I hope we can turn this into something. I have some ideas on other places we can take it if things go well. YAY!
This summer definitely has the potential. Could go down as an all time great.
I saw Wolverine awhile back, as it was leaked to the internet before it was graphically finished. I hope they changed it dramatically because that version was awful. I heard they deleted/added 20 minutes.
Why isnt Wolverine rated R anyway? I mean i understand why, so they can sell toys to the kids and such... but seriously... that should be one violent movie. Ehhh... Theres aways Star Trek which i am excited for.
Sounds like Lee was fighting you on the topic of my greatness...is he not onboard with my greatness? Does he doubt my g? I appreciate you correcting any misapprehensions on his part that I am not great.

Yo, C-Mac, I hope you listened closely to the master's lessons. I'm hoping to work something out with him soon--keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars!
Raised in the hood + don't try and be something I'm not + hot beats and intellectual rhymes = my music. Check me out and let me know what you think, good or bad. Thanks. :)
Have you been drinking? LOL. Yes, i agree brotha! We def need to get this show on the road. I know what you mean though about everyday life being busy and getting in the way. We've been keeping an eye on your show dates to try and get to one. Let me know if you want to plan something soon. Ok? Maybe hit the bar for a Cavs game? What do you think?
