  • Bio

Chris Butler is a bit of a reborn rocker! A stalwart of the 1980s and 1990s Leeds music scene in bands such as The Necklace and Hangman's Smile, he has recently returned to song-writing and Very Soon represents his first visit to the studio since the days of Tascam four-tracks and egg-boxes! Very Soon is a major departure from the jangly indie-rock of the early days and is very much a soft-rock ballad written for and inspired by my wonderful partner. 09 Jan 2010 - Release of Transparent Boy - A little closer to my rock roots :) Dec 2009 - Fly the Flags is Chris's first venture into what can only be described as folk music. Written the day before Remembrance Day 2009 it is pretty self-explanatory.
