Hey! What's up, this is Chris. I've been into music basicly my whole life but I didn't start playing guitar until Dec. of 2005 when I asked my parents for a guitar for Christmas. My first guitar was a Royal Blue Squier,That i still have. About 6 months later I started to take guitar lessons from a musician named Jerry Hindman who taught guitar and other instrument's at the local music store. At the time, I used to listen to bands such as Fall Out Boy and Greenday and didn't realize how important music and guitar would be in my life. I took guitar lessons for about a year and then took about 6 months off then went back. It wasn't until June 2008 that i started getting serious about guitar. What happened was in June I discovered a guy on Youtube, I'm sure all of you know him, his name is Mattrach, when i seen him playing guitar and seen the cover's he played, it completely blew my mind. I didn't know that the guitar could be played like that, LOL. After discovering Mattrach i then discovered who Steve Vai was because of Mattrach's cover's, then Joe Satriani,John Petrucci,Cesar Huesca and so on, that moment completely changed my life. So I ended up changing my playing style and never looked back. I've been playing instrumental rock for a little over a year now and i love it.I'm now writing my own music and hope to make my own cd in the very near future, and i know that this will be what I'll be doing for the rest of my life. So that is basicly how I got started playing guitar and since that day in June I haven't missed a lesson with Jerry lol.Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any question's please don't hesitate to ask.
