Bio
Chris & Christa- Musicians,Songwriters. Christa Gardner –Lead Vocals Chris Jones- Guitar and vocals Chris & Christa are a powerfully original acoustic duo presently residing in Hamilton, Ontario. The music is acoustic guitar based and ranges from finger picked ballads, with haunting vocals and harmonies, to the intricate and dynamic rock song, where Christa’s immense vocal power and range surprises and delights the listener. They are professional and driven musicians whose live performance reflects the joy felt both on and off the stage. Recent live performances include The Opera House in Toronto, collaborative concerts playing the music of The Who and The Beatles which were charitable events produced by Hamilton Music Award winner Christopher Clause. The 17th annual Gandhi Walk for Peace Festival and Fix our World Festival. Chris and Christa were also invited to write and record a song for this years Design Hope CD, which is due for release on November 7th 2009. Chris and Christa write about life as they have experienced it, hence the music is fresh, relevant and always evolving. -

Just got back from hearing Chris and Christa
at The Opera House in Toronto. I'm floored.
This is the first time I heard them do their own stuff.
This is absolutely as good as it gets with one acoustic guitar and two voices!
(I do confess - I'd love to hear them with a full band someday!)
Imagine Janis Joplin singing for Led Zeppelin. Seriously.
It was well worth the trip, guys.
