About me:
It all started as a small joke back at good ol' Ewing High School. The pairing of two people from my class into a comic book seemed idiotic but actually spun off a three year time span of comic books that spanned most of my high school career. The high school comics moved to publication in college newspapers and now Chris & Vernbugg are finally moving to publication with the release of their first big issue at this year's SPX!
The story is simple: Chris is just a regular schlub with nothing going for him. Ever. Vern is a, well, bug with a wiseass attitude and a knack for getting him and his best friend into trouble. With a huge supporting cast including The Hesser, Ryan, Chief, Erin, Lou, The Roach, Mad Hatter, Roger, Super Polish Man, and many others - Chris and Vernbugg try to get through their high school years as best they can: cheating on every test, trying every stupid line to get the girl, and try as hard as they can to be cool.

Who I'd like to meet:
Ryan McLelland is the writer/artist of Chris and Vernbugg. Ryan's written for such magazines as Newsarama (known well for his weekly columns 'Your Indy Weekly' and 'It Came From The Quarter Bin') and Latino Review (well known for his interview where he compared lip sizes with Angelina Jolie). He's also written for Hollywood production house Platinum Studios and alot of the crap he currently can't remember while writing in third person. He is a member of the production studio Evolution Studios which can also be found right here on MySpace.
Currently Ryan is writing the superhero comic book Philly for Arcana Studios. Produced along side his fellow Evolution Studios compadre Jim Hanna the book's website can be found right here on MySpace at www.myspace.com/phillythecomic.
Ryan also writes his creator-owned Wise Intelligence about four college fraternity brothers at the fictional New Jersey State University. With one anthology issue currently released, the second is in production, and a three-issue mini series on the way Ryan hopes that the adventures of Servo, Whorfin, JK and Dean will soon took the indy comic book world by storm. The first issue is available to be purchase direct from ComiXpress and visit the MySpace Wise Intelligence page at www.myspace.com/wiseintelligencecomic. Wise Intelligence stories have been drawn by such stars as HC Noel, Bob Lipski, Adam Talley and many more while also being featured in the Ragtag anthology, the upcoming BAM anthology, and a guest appearance in an upcoming Uptown Girl comic.
