About me: Monday through Friday (actually it's more like Tuesday through Saturday) I work an enormously satisfying and intellectually stimulating day job. At night I masquerade as a rock/pop critic (although not a very prolific one). I desperately cling to the idea that I might write a great rock and roll novel. Or at least a mediocre one.
Who I'd like to meet: Recently I saw a poll on CNN that 13% of Democrats approve of George W. Bush as President. Aside from Joe Lieberman, who in the hell are you people?
I'd also like to meet writers, cool musicians (sending me impersonal messages with buttons I can click to automatically add you to my Friend's List is not cool), people who like both Sleater-Kinney and bubblegum pop music, people that quote from Woody Allen movies in casual conversations, Seattleites that go to lots of rock shows, people that first turn to the op-ed page of the New York Times every Wednesday and Sunday, and people that genuinely believe Cheetos are in fact chips.

oh no no no, scrabble is not about the competition. it's about the fun that one can have with forming a word out of "IIEOULO". that actually was my option at one point. sure, there are a lot of words, but will they give you 10 points or more using the combination of XI on the board? :)
