About me:
As a young person, I loved music, all music, even "uncool" classical and Lawrence Welk stuff. I never had lessons or formal training but much later I learned about some of the theory. Some of the breakthroughs for me revolved around "uncomfortable" piano scales like A and E which opened up the world of popular guitar music, and conversely, with barre chords being able to play some Eb and Bb favorites that were unusual to hear on a guitar. Now I like to chase down obscure little melodies from any time in my life and bring them to life on the piano. Some are in the oddest of keys, but I believe, for good reason. Now that vinyl records are so cheap, I can spend a quarter taking a chance on anything and maybe have a couple of haunting little keyboard riffs at the end of the day. ..
