Chris was born in Nashville, and raised there by his mother, a gospel singer , and his father, the legendary singer songwriter Jim Hurt; well known for writing Alabama's “Love In The First Degree”, as well as many others. Last year Chris entertained audiences nationwide as the lead singer for the newest indie success story, known as “Colt Ford.” Leaving a lasting impression on thousands of people is an experience he won’t soon forget."It was the biggest learning experience of my career and I truly feel like if I hadn't been on that tour I would not be doing what I am today," For Chris, growing up in the music business was “tough, but worth it.
