Having a hard time understanding people who voted for Bush. The Republican administration has hijacked our country and our future. They insist on a tenuous war, they support big corporations at the cost of workers rights, and they resist legislation beneficial to the environment... Wrong, wrong, wrong!
However, I have recently read Jimmy Carter's new book, Our Endangered Values, and while I don't see eye to eye on his religious convictions, I respect his steadfast tolerance. Working on it.
I am a software developer by trade, but my interests range from folk, folk/rock guitar to backpacking to social networking web sites to "appropriate", sustainable technologies. I'm also interested in the American West and it's development (check out Wallace Stegner's Beyonf the Hundreth Meridian). Other interests: history, family genealogy, skepticism...
Who I'd like to meet: "Reasonable people" who think! People who think about more than their personal little worlds; who think about the impact they have on the world with their casual day to day existence. People who open their eyes and see.
