About me:
Chris Patterson had humble beginnings, growing up in a small rural community in the heart of Illinois. After high school, Chris attended Western Illinois University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. His exposure to many diverse styles of music became one of his greatest strengths as a percussionist. It is here that he was introduced to the steel drum, an instrument that would become his “signature” as a percussionist in the years to come. Currently, Chris resides in Nashville, TN where he stays very active in the music industry as a performer, clinician, session artist, and educator. Performing on numerous gigs and sessions each year, he stays “in demand” utilizing a diverse blend of percussion instruments. This diversity has landed him gigs with such noted artists as Lee Greenwood, The Dynamites; featuring funk/soul legend Charles Walker, the Muzik Mafia (featuring Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Jon Nicholson, James Otto, Damien Horne, Kid Rock, Shannon Lawson, and many others), JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic), Bare Jr., and many others. These gigs have taken him all around the U.S. and overseas, sharing the stage with some of the industry’s top bands and artists in arenas, clubs, and some of the U.S.’s largest festivals (Bonnarroo, Austin City Limits, etc.). Recently, Chris has been focused on writing original material for steel pan, making the switch from “side man” to bandleader. With new music and projects on the way, his career has taken on a different and more intimate persona. Be sure to visit www.KrusharmusiK.com for more details and updated information. In addition, he still performs with his innovative duo, “DrumJockey.” DrumJockey has been an ongoing project with his long time friend and world-renowned drummer Johnny Rabb. This duo has been together in many musical settings, which have fostered praise and accolades from the likes of Modern Drummer magazine, the Percussive Arts Society, and other peers in the industry. Some of these highlights include the Singapore Drum Festival, Day of Drums, PASIC, and numerous other clinics and performances across the country. Chris is truly emerging as a new voice in the ever-expanding realm of percussion, both as a performer and a writer. His artistic vision is both refreshing and innovative. His passion for music and strong work ethic has helped to make him who he is today.Who I'd like to meet:
All are welcome!!!Like Dey Used to...

Poeta, Cantor e compositor Mineiro!
Beat Boogie piccolo snare drums are geared for drummers seeking an affordable alternate snare drum. Their crisp brilliant attack and tight sound with excellent projection have led many players to use them as both a secondary and primary snare.
