   About Chris Millington
Chris Millington is a musician based in North Devon.
Having been dragged up through the Manchester Indie scene and various bands, Chris has now found his niche. Inspired by the beautiful north Devon coastline and local stories of smuggling, wrecking and piracy along the North Devon coast, Chris has penned some moving songs in the hope and with the passion of keeping some of these stories alive.
Recently described as the ..'wild eyed boy of Exmoor..' Chris combines the traditional with the contempory singing songs of the sea, the past and the heart.
A multitalented multi instrumentalist Chris feels at ease with anything from the guitar to squeezebox, from mandolin to sitar. This diversity of influences and instruments compliments his compositions and accompanied by a voice that ranges from raucous Bowie-esque vocal to the haunting choral arrangement of the Liberame Domine at the end of the enchanting 'Who Will Cut Me Down?"

Chris plays many gigs mostly in the South West and has just completed the album 'Doubloons, Jewels and Ivory' telling stories of the North Devon Coast and the surrounding area. The title track records the story of the slaver ship The London that was wrecked on Rapparee beach in Ilfracombe in 1796. The bodies of the unfortunate slaves were unceremoniously and hurriedly thrown on the beach and walled up until the 1980's when a storm combined with the high tide unearthed the bones of those who died.

meowww, yeah your gig was awesome the other night in appledoor, i ended up staaying on john lennon(marcus's) sofa ha thats why i left a bit early cus he was gettin a lift back to where he lives in bideford and well i didnt fancy attempting to walk back to ilfracombe or at least barnstaple. altho i wud of done if i had to. i find doing things like that can be fun sometimes, cus then wen you get somewhere it just feels really good and you really appreciate little things like having a cup of tea, ha or something like that.

you know what i mean, hopefully haha.

I cant believe i missed your gig in ilfracombe tho, ha i forgot, even after i turned up a month early! and Yeah damn missing seth lakeman, i wud of came to your gig tho cus i was actulary stuck in ilfracombe with nothing to do. And cudnt go out of ilfracombe cus i had lost my bus pass and i'm poor hhaa.

OOOH MYY! ELEPHANT SKY! i have not posted a comment for ages, what have i been doing! ha. well it was my birthday this month remember ha, ermm, what else.ohh i got invited to emma bells (awesome new fashion designer) fashion show at london fashion week! yay was awesome that was on tuesday so i had a long coach journey and my friend danny came with me and the show was very random! ha awesomeness..and i met so many interet friends in real life! and ahhh all the press took photos of me which made me feel famous when they all wanted me and then ended up being interveiwed and they filmed it haha, just asking if i liked the show etc along with an awesome internet friend ending up in most of the pictures with me she also ended up in the interveiw , was so random. i met everyone but emma bell, well she was very busy but from the times i've spoken to her online and from her family and friends she seems awesome as a person too hehe, i met her family and her brother wanted a photo with me and took one haha..defently a random night, i want it to happen again i cant believe i managed to get invited, and that i managed to get to tickets from the press haa, i did send them a message as soon as i knew it was possible to get tickets, just cus i didnt want them to run out heeeeeehaaaa.

its 5 to 5am , what am i doing, i'm going insane...most likely altho actulary thats prob already happened, i do have an itchy ankle which is quite odd and annoying, oooh and on a slightly more interesting note to the itchy ankle, i've been listening to tori amos for the past 5 hours , she's addictive. i was also bored and started looking up female serial killers, and discovered when susan atkins was younger she looked quite pretty haha, she was a member of the manson family led by charles manson, then i noticed charles mansons mugshot was quite pretty too. hhaha then i wanted to look up pretty serial killers and google wasnt so helpful. ohh well

Oh. Of course.
I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Exept maybe if you were dangling from a hot air balloon.

I've been learning an African language today. And then me and Smelly wrote a song that goes...

Jambo!
Karoubouka.
Jambo!
Famba.
Jambo?
Shikouembo, I will ca ca on you Mr Bumbaklaat.

Which means something like...
Hello!
Shut up.
Hello!
Get lost.
Hello?
I swear, I will poo poo on you Mr Bumbaklaat.

Bumbaklaat being a verrrrrry bad word that the language talkers won't tell the meaning to us.
Do you know what it means?
I hope so.
