Chris's Interests
|
| Music | Not to be a shill, but I love my iPod, so I probably listen to more music now than ever... love my old tapes (put a bunch of 'em onto my pod), though I think the "Shut the Punk Up" Volume 3 CD is the one I listen to the most at the time. I dig any sort of music, though I'm no good at performing or writing it myself. Being half-deaf doesn't help. | | Movies | Suit Girl and The Escort are the top of the list. Oh wait, you mean real movies... oh.
Well, I can't pick a favourite, particularly because I like so many kinds, and so many fit different moods, but I am loving the Lord of the Rings movies, which I pretty much missed until late last year. They're great because there's moments of comedy, drama, action, horror, and they evoke an emotion, I love all that... any movie that can do all of that is a great movie, but I dig watching just about anything. Sometimes I'll want a serious flick, sometimes a serious action flick, sometimes a crazy action flic, a stupid comedy, a regular drama... I like just about anything, or at least I try to.
If I had to pick the flick that affected me most, it would be either Citizen Kane because of how well it was made by someone my age, and My Dinner With Andre, because I try to think about actually experiencing life and looking at what's around me every day. | | Television | In droves on DVD... somehow I've really gotten away from watching serial TV, but I always try to catch Daily Show and Colbert... as for DVD, I dig Galactica, I have the whole Monty Python, the Office, Whose Line (I have just about every episode), I dig being able to choose what I watch and how much. Of course, I have just about every episode of Whose Line on my computer. | | Books | Martian Chronicles I can read in a day, which I really need to do with books... Hero With a Thousand Faces is on the top of my bookshelf at the moment, along with Rebel Without a Crew, and tons of reference books about houses, cars, anything. I really need to read more books, I used to be all over that. Of course now, I want to draw what I see in my head when I read it, which of course takes a bit of time... |

Chris's Blurbs |
About me:
I love writing, what I thought was going to be a career in comic books has sort of evolved into wanting to be a director, writing my own scripts, doing my own storyboards, drawing out costumes and set concepts and everything. I've actually done some pro bono work on a couple things, not as many as I'd like to have, though... I try to draw ever day and I've decided to get in shape as well, seeing as the "recovering drug addict" look isn't particularly fashionable (not that I'm a recovering drug addict, I just look like one. "No officer, they're not track marks, they're bee stings").
