From the tender age of eleven, Chris Nunez knew that he had a passion and knack for artistry. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Nunez began his artistic journey as a self taught graffiti artist. His enthusiasm for the craft was enough to carry him through the next seven years but with his Cuban ancestral background and strong family influence, Nunez began to realize his calling stretched far beyond his artistic ability. Now, almost 17 years later he has been given the great honor of reaching homes throughout the country by lending his insights to TLC’s hit show, “Miami Ink.” The show has been a wonderful platform and has allowed him the opportunity to embark on his quest for entrepreneurial success.
Today Nunez has already expanded his repertoire with Love/Hate, a bar playing only classic rock and hip hop music in Miami, as well as marketing his clothing line, Deville! Love/Hate will open its second location in Montreal, Canada the end of January 2009. A third location is also on the horizon in Manhattan. In the very near future, there will be a total of six Love/Hate hot spots opened throughout the country.
Let’s recap…. bars, fun times, tattoo parlors, hit television show, what’s missing you ask? The answer, clothing! Deville, Nunez’s clothing line, designed in conjunction with Monarchy and Green Apple is already being swept off the shelves at “Bread & Butter” in Europe and is making its US debut appearance at the MAGIC convention in Las Vegas next month. The line will debut this spring in U.S. stores. The unique, yet edgy appeal of the line stems from Nunez’s long line of personal experiences while on the show and in life.
As an already accomplished businessman, Chris still finds time to enjoy his hobbies which include: snowboarding, race car driving, cooking, collecting sneakers and fine watches and wine tasting. Stay tuned for what’s in store next for Nunez…..
Chris currently resides in Miami, Florida.
