My bass playing is mainly influenced by a love of Belgian beer, a lack of obvious vowels in the Welsh language and a string of bad luck.
Sounds Like
On a good day my bass playing sounds like a tractor sliding backwards while grating gears in a muddy field with assorted farmyard animals panicking in the background. That's on a good day.
I PLAY BASS. I like heavy metal. I love to play heavy metal bass..... Some of the bands and projects I've been rocking, recording and touring with are....
TANK - I've recently joined the newly reformed NWOBHM band Tank now also featuring Doogie White (Yngwie/Rainbow) on vocals. We played some cool Euro-festies in 2009 and we're working on a new studio album for 2010....
SACK TRICK - that's my very own toy band. It's me and a bunch of mates playing and recording songs that amuse us, but amazingly it's turned out really good. A lot of people seem to like us. We've done three albums so far with a fourth on the way as we speak. I really recommend you see www.sacktrick.com and www.myspace.com/sacktrick for more.....
BRUCE DICKINSON - I played bass on a couple of his solo albums, "Skunkworks" and "Alive in Studio A" and did a couple of world tours too. We still play together every now and then....

RICKY GERVAIS - I played bass on a couple of tunes for him, one was used as a bonus track for "The Office" Christmas DVD another is on series two of "Extras" as the theme tune to his sit-com, When the Whistle Blows. Very funny....
TRIBUZY - I played bass on the debut album for this Brazillian metal band and also did a short but very big Brazillian tour with them (out now on DVD). PLANET BASS is a website run by Matt Cohen (The Reasoning) and myself. It's all about bass players talking about playing bass. We interview over 50 top class bass players from around the planet and get them to tell us all about their way of playing bass. At some point in the future we're planning to release a Planet Bass album with loads of bass playing all over it. See www.planetbass.fsnet.co.uk......
TOTAL ROCK is an internet Radio Station that plays total rock and metal. I DJ a show on it at 3-6pm UK time on Thursday afternoons (if I'm not on tour). Tune in if you get a chance, and send some email requests for metal in too. See www.totalrock.com....
I've also recorded bass on lots of albums for lots of other rock/metal artists such as ANTI-PRODUCT, BALANCE OF POWER, FOOD FOR THOUGHT (a warped Maiden tribute) and if you happen to have a very, very long memory, ATOM SEED... I am available for hire. If you're a rock/metal band in need of some bass guitar noises, message me.
