God, disco, 70's funk, 80's punk, 80's rock (not the butt-rock stuff), the 90's, the obscure bands that no one's ever heard of, and the philosophy of Fugazi.
When you've heard, listened and dug, just about every kind of music except classical and neo-country, there's no tellin' what will come out. Sure some of your heavier influences will be more prevalent, but it sure is fun to reinvent your music self from song to song.
Besides, life is about growing and evolving. Music is about life. Therefore, if you have any kind of deduction capabilities, you know what I'm getting at.
And that's where my artistic, creative self stays, or at least tries to stay — on the edge of my knowledge, skills and capabilities. However, at times it's good to revert back to where you came from.
Listen close and you'll get a mental picture of where I've been.
