We (as a band) have been listening for the last few years to the world speak. We (as society) have reached milestones, fought wars, seen death, witnessed life, been completely broke, and seen the music industry crash and burn before our very eyes. There is beauty in that no? Through trial comes a choice, you can cave to the pressure and go under or you can seize the opportunity to rise above and become a leader of the pack. During the constant thought inside this process of which road to choose (at times) we realized there was no one voice truly standing up for what people really want. Not about just politics or other some other tangible crisis but about every emotion we have inside of us.
We talked about Zeppelin, Nirvana, the Doors, the 70’s and the 90‘s, Motown, and even old Elvis records and the way they used to effect our psyche and make us actually feel music, even in rock they had soul. Not R&B soul, we mean that god given imperfect soul that has no boundries.
It would be really easy for us to put together a record just like the next band, but we dont agree with the current mainstream view. So we are seperating from that and hoping to bring something different to the table that is truely alternative for whoever wants to listen. Its not about the money or the fame but ultimately how we can affect our audience.
