Chris Po gives all honor and glory to Father God, who has allowed him to grow and learn from all he's seen and been through, which is quite a bit. His faith has allowed him to endure negative experiences and create positive ones. Born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. in 1986, Chris was blessed to see poverty in order to appreciate privilege. The maturation of Chris Po has been a long and rigorous process. He battled with family, friends, drugs, alcohol, fornication, idolatry, arrogance and selfishness. The people who were supposed to love him most constantly pushed him away. It was hard having a mother with a drug addiction, and it affected him in many ways. Music became an outlet at a very young age. If only he knew what the Lord was preparing him for!
Chris has worked with artists such as, the upcoming E., 106th and Park's Free, T. Money and DJ Envy. He rapped, produced and was also a DJ. The sky seemed to be the limit for Christopher, as Christ was truly in him; but he didn't understand that the mercy of God was what sustained him. Successful peers in the industry constantly encouraged Chris. However, making a name for himself as an underground artist was not fulfilling. Death and hate quickly surrounded him. He realized he was doing music for the wrong reasons, and at one point gave up on the dream.
The love of Jesus Christ ministered to his soul, and helped him realize that he was a part of something much bigger than himself. He then sacrificed all for the LORD, and fully dedicated his life to Christ. As he matured spiritually, he naturally attained greater gifts and a hunger for ministry. He now uses music to win souls, and glorify the God of Israel. Whenever the LORD makes something a new, he gives it a new name. Azariah means helped by God, and has become one of the rapper and producer's aliases. He now understands his role in the body of Christ, and enjoys the work God has allowed him to do for the Kingdom.
