At present, me, playing everything. My principal instrument is electric bass, but I'm the whole band in the studio: vocals, guitars, keyboards, mandolin, drums.
Influences
Todd Rundgren, Utopia, Philly soul, Stevie Wonder, Laura Nyro, Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, The Band, Meat Loaf and Walt Whitman.
I was born in the early 70s. I bought my first copy of Destroyer by Kiss at the age of 5, using birthday money. I nearly got busted for passing registers while carrying the record in a mad attempt to observe a passing fire engine outside the store.
Now I’m a recording artist from New Jersey. From theatre pit orchestras to coffeehouses and concert stages, I’ve been making music for over 25 years. My real passion is my own music, which I record independently in the name of personal awareness and living deliberately. I’m no strummer, no singer/songwriter. Though I play all of them, I call the bass my principal instrument. I like amplification and the big sound of a band. My songs are soul, played like rock.
I have released three recordings of original material on which I played all the instruments. My catalog, if you will, did very well in 2008 with downloads sold through various outlets. In that year, I released a new Christmas track, "It's Christmas (Let It Touch You)" exclusively for download through my Nimbit store (below).
When not working diligently on my new album, I can be seen in the New York metro area, playing keyboards and guitar for Brian Fitzpatrick and the Band of Brothers.
I have a feeling if I play that guitar Gene will want to play his purple violin and Brian will lose his friggin mind. Maybe Ill bring it to the next rehearsal so you can play it. : )
I haven't sang in years. I used to do open mics, and copyrighted most of my songs in 2000. That's what's up on my page. Hope you enjoy those poor ancient relics and my guitar playing as well. :)
