Growing up ten miles away from where The Beatles began, there was no shortage of musical heritage surrounding Chris Roach. However, his heart was always a million miles away, favoring the fiddle and steel guitar twang sounds to his rock 'n' roll roots. This young man from Warrington, England eventually made his way stateside working as an audio engineer and gigging nights in Saginaw, Michigan. He then made his way South, landing for a brief stay in Nashville, Tennessee and eventually moving to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Today, every note and every chord serves as a mile marker along the path of Chris' journey. The progressive and edgy sound from nearby Detroit, the laid back swagger of Music City, and the swampy soul of the Shoals all permeates his music.
Chris has shared the bill with such acts as: Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Shenandoah, Shooter Jennings, Doug Stone, Craig Morgan, and even 80's rock band Warrant. In his time off stage Chris has had the opportunity to work in the studio alongside veteran session players such as Larry Byrom (Steppenwolf), Roger Clark (Steve Miller Band), Mike McGuire (Shenandoah), and Bob Wray (Willy Nelson, Ray Charles). Recently, Chris signed a writing deal with LML productions, co-owned by Muscle Shoals session-player Marty Lewis and song-writing legend Billy Lawson. When he's not out gigging or working in the studio on his up-coming album, Chris can be found collaborating with some of Nashville's top writers, building his song catalogue.
