I've always been attracted to those artists who push the envelope of Musicality and yet remain true to the Pop Genre.
Artists such as U2, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Dave Matthews and John Mayer, have pushed the envelope of Musical Sophistication yet still are followed by the Pop Seeker.
I feel that is the continual, enjoyable challenge of songwriting, to deliver a sophisticated musical package with a refreshing, feel-good vibe.
