I'm at a bit of a loss for this section, which proves that I don't read enough. I appreciate recommendations, though!
*awkward pause, shuffle, then cue lame introductory paragraph*
Just kidding. While I'm no stranger to the awkward pause and shuffle routine (damn primary school years), I have fortunately outgrown it. My nutshell: I'm Chrissie, second-year drama student at QUT, living in Brisbane with three awesome housemates, Cassie, Timothy an Dan.
I prefer describing myself on the spot as there's no backspace button. Additionally I'm 99% more natural in person because I'm a relatively confident 'peoples-person' and know how to hold a conversation, even if we're talking about nothing in particular.
I love theatre; it's my favourite thing to do and see in the world. I love pretty much everything about my Bachelor of Creative Industries: Drama course at QUT and I wouldn't trade my university life for anything else in the world. I'm glad that I spent two years doing mindnumbing retail because a) I finally made some friends in Brisbane and b) I feel a lot more mature and ambitious at 20 than I did at 17. The course is opening my eyes up to the endless possibilities of what I can do with my life, although endless possibilities makes it hard to narrow down.. But I'm not that worried. I'm confident that I'll end up somewhere doing something.
I come from an awesome, awesome family, filled with all the odds and ends that family's usually have - a dad I don't talk to, a stepfather that ROCKS, a loving mother, siblings, neices, nephews, grandfather, uncles - no aunties, now that I think about it. Hrm.. I love hanging out with my family, which most people don't get until they actually meet my family and realise how damn cool they are. And I'm beginning to notice that if new friends don't click/resonate well with my family, they tend to be the ones that don't end up clicking well with me either.
Also, I am totally and utterly committed to my life partner of going-on three years: Cellardoor (my aloof, gorgeous, and moody cat). She's my little cat-child and I love her to pieces - best 17th birthday present ever. Even if she is getting a bit fat. So yeah, "must love cats". Because it's highly likely that I'm going to care for her heaps more than anyone else I share my life/bed with (probably because she has lower expectations).
Not the most hated family in America, that's for sure. Daniel Radcliff and Rove, however:
The company of Cirque de Soleil, because I find them absolutely amazing in everything they do.
Hugh Laurie, definitely, ever since he sang "Mystery" on "Bits of Fry and Laurie" back in the day. Won me over real good. And Jennifer is amazingly pretty. Not that Hugh isn't. Anyway. Kissing is hot.
Who else, who else... Everyone, really, that wants to know me, I want to know them. Then of course there are all the people who possibly don't want to get to know me and I want to know them. I really want pen pals. Japanese pen pals.
