Opportunity can come through the oddest of circumstances. When Chris Spring put an old mic on Ebay his hope was a few extra quid, certainly not a record deal.
Chelmsford born, Chris cut his teeth with local bands before deciding to record some solo demos in his bedroom. The results were passionate songs, with soaring vocals, expressing the intimate and honest loves, observations, and trials of the writer.
He then had to sell his mic. The highest bidder was a junior engineer at Eden Studios London (Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers, Stereophonics and KT Tunstall etc). Chris persuaded him to listen to his demos; when he heard them, the engineer was totally stunned and immediately played it to Edens owner Phillip Love.

What I found phenomenal was Chris's exceptional songwriting, and the uniqueness of his voice. You just don't get that quality of songwriting anymore. We arranged a meeting to discuss the way forward. Every engineer wanted to work on this project. "
The result is the album 'The universe is Flat', plus a number of A grade extra tracks.
