When I'm hungry, I like to snack on banana peppers.
I also enjoy running, hiking, camping, reading, railroading, and otherwise finding ways to escape reality.
Music
My musical influences include (in no particular order): Bill Frisell, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Wilco, Eric Clapton, Jerry Garcia, Oz Noy, Charlie Sexton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Howe, Grant Green, Jack White, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon, Frank Zappa, Neil Young, Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson, Wayne Krantz, Tom Verlaine, The Band, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen of Steely Dan and all of their brilliant guitar players, The Yardbirds, Skip James, J. Spaceman, J.J. Cale, Radiohead, Edward Van Halen, Wes Montgomery, Bruce Hornsby, Neil Young, Bela Fleck, Robert Randolph, Don Was, Tom Petty, Mike Cambell, Jimi Hendrix, Mick Taylor, John McLaughlin, Miles Davis, Randy Newman, Stan Getz, Larry Carlton, Jackson Browne, Chet Atkins, Carlos Santana, Nels Cline, Robben Ford, Jeff Beck, John Paul Jones, Lowell George, Trey Anastasio, Rory Gallagher, Eric Johnson, Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Page, and others that I'm blanking on right now.
Movies
I like movies about guitars, guitar effects, amps, strings, picks, lawn mowers, blowers, edgers, and weed wackers. Sometimes George L Cables too...
These were some hitch hikers we picked up in Tijuana on Cinco de Mayo.
This is the guitar I like to play after driving for 12 straight hours or when I'm in my pajamas.
I like to use a lot of different things at different times. My main amps are a '65 Reissue Twin and a Mesa/Boogie .22 Cal. Both are very different but equally fantastic. My main guitars are a two Strats built from a couple different guitars. I love them. Don't ask about the Les Paul. Yes, I still love it, but like to keep it safely stowed away.
Television
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FUCKING RULES), Curb (NEXT SEASON SOON!), Man Vs. Wild, the other Man Vs. Wild show on Discovery, Dirty Jobs, The Family Guy, and Behind The Music.
You Are The Magician
You are powerful and wise - beyond what anyone can see.
Deeply complex, you have the resources to connect to the spiritual and material world.
You posses the knowledge to manipulate your life and the lives around you.
You also have a great healing power, should you choose to use it.
Your fortune:
You have unhidden powers that you have yet to tap into.
Soon, you will better understand how to use your intellect and intuition.
Believe it or now, you will discover how you can manipulate yourself and others for good.
You are at the beginning of a path of spiritual enlightenment.
Local players/friends that I am very fond of include Brian Sheehan of Simplicity (one of my favorite local bands), Evan Perri of The Hot Club of Detroit (an old friend and original member of the now legendary "Scruff"), Steve "Sven" Dely, Kris Kuzawa (formally of Sparkle Motion and member (I believe) of the Cass Street Ramblers, Costa, Mac, Tano Pillot of Bloom, Matt Diamond of Blend, Chris Emmerson, Dan Eienheuser (now in Clearwater, Fl. but always a local hero to me, and the other key component of "Scruff"), the guys in LLE, Joe Stanley of Jam Samich, Bryce Carrol-Coe, Joe Fik, Matt Van, Chuck Newsome of Smokestack, Justin Rock and the guys from Watercolor, and Maurice Hogan.

About me: Currently in these warm summer months and while I'm not on tour, I've taken up the hobby of drinking single malt scotch, writing songs on my acoustic guitar, and getting exercise... and I just got married to a wonderful gal named Kate.
I sing and play guitar for a band called bump. I am the oldest of four brothers, appreciate the natural world, despise oil companies and all their global atrocities (yet ironically still drive a pertol fueled car, use tools that run on gas, and drive across the country in a van), and believe that there is still good in the world and people with the right intentions...
