Some of the constant things include sleep when I can, and my 2 boston terriers, Gertie and Ruth Anne...and my job. No really, I love what I do. I have recently changed careers, and while I was pretty scared for a while, I couldn't be happier now. I drive a jeep, and love rolling the top down, grabbing the dogs, and the ipod, and taking off.

Music
I spent years of my life as a radio dj and programmer, so music has always been a HUGE part of my life. Now that I have chosen a different path, music is still the heartbeat of my soul. I get to play music more these days, and meet some amazing musicians. I have such a wide genre going all the time. It might be Nina Simone, or Lyle Lovett, and Pink, Stevie Ray, or Diana Krall, Eleven Hundred Springs or Alseep at the Wheel, who will always be my favorite. Steve Earl, Ray Wylie Hubbard, all of the above are the ipod. I also love local musicians, undiscovered talent that lurk in smoky bars and open mic nights.
Movies
All girl! Bridges of Madison County, The Mirror has Two Faces among the favorites...can't do without the silly ones like Monty Python, Blazing Saddles and Happy Texas!
Television
Not a huge TV person. When I do get a chance, it's mostly the Food Network, and the Cartoon Channel, and I'm a news junkie at heart.

Sarah Ophelia Collie, better known as Minnie Pearl, would have made the "people I want to meet" list if she were still alive. A smart woman who made aliving making people laugh, and who did so much good for the folks around her by helping children.
About me: I am now, and forever will be from Texas, no matter where I am currently. Yes, I grew up with cows, and horses. I can drive a tractor, but I'd rather have a facial. I enjoy jeepin', hammocks, and a good rum punch. I drink dark coffee and dark beer and soy milk. I love Texas music, bluegrass music, and the sound of big bodied acoustic guitar. I actually lived in Key West. I adore my yoga class. I wear high heels, and own cowboy boots. I am a hippie at heart. I am damn good at my job. I can charm a snake, or kick your ass, which ever the situation requires. I give all I have, and require the same of anyone else.
Who I'd like to meet: I've had a chance to meet some amazing people, but there are always a few I'd like to spend some time talking with, asking some questions. My favorite writer, Robert James Waller, would be someone I'd like to talk to, listen to some stories. I'd like to have margaritas with Jill Conner Brown. If you don't know who that is, you obviously are missing out on the Sweet Potato Queens saga. Fix that!
