Christabel Dreams nasce a Roma sul finire del 2005. Lo scopo di Christian Gatti (voice), Federico Viola (chitarra) ed Emmanuele Viola (basso e programming) era quello di rispolverare sonorità gothic e new wave dei primi anni ottanta. Il primo lavoro omonimo è stato lanciato nel 2007, quattro canzoni che mostrano chiaramente quali sono le intenzioni della band. Durante lo stesso anno i CD debuttano live a Roma e alcuni mesi dopo seguono i primi riscontri ad opera di magazine e webzine specializzate. Nel 2008 “Life That Never Was” e “Candlelight” vengono inserite all’interno di compilation straniere. Riguardo all'attività live, i Christabel Dreams aprono ai concerti di Cinema Strange e Red Zebra. Nel 2009 dividono il palco con uno dei nomi più importanti della scena gothic italiana di sempre quale The Frozen Autumn e partecipano al Fano Moonlight Festival suonando lo stesso giorno dei leggendari Sex Gang Children. Dopo aver pubblicato un nuovo Ep (“The Broken Toy”), la band è ancora alla ricerca di un contratto con un’etichetta e sta lavorando al nuovo materiale che potrebbe vedere la luce entro il 2010.
Christabel Dreams was created in Rome at the end of 2005. Christian Gatti (voice), Federico Viola (guitar) and Emmanuele Viola (bass and programming) had the aim to relive some gothic and new wave sound of the early 80's. First self titled work was launched in 2007, four songs which show clearly the intentions of the band. During the same year CD did the debut concert in Rome and a few months later the first response about their work by goth magazines and webzines. In 2008 'Life That Never Was' and 'Candlelight' had gone to be included in foreign compilations. About live shows the band was the opening act for Cinema Strange and Red Zebra. In 2009 CD shared the stage with one of the most important names of the Italian dark music ever as The Frozen Autumn and played at Fano Moonlight Festival on legendary Sex Gang Children's day show. After having published a new EP (“The Broken Toy”), the band is still looking for a label and working on the new material which could be out in 2010.
