Music (I've been involved in Christian worship bands for about 13 years) I sing now along side my husband. My son is in a band too. He drums and has an awesome voice. Also love to camp, hike, read, and watch movies. If I could be a movie critic, that would be my all time dream job!

Should I dare to share the groups I loved in High School?? I was really a big hair band freak! Boston is still my all time favorite group! I have a hard time departing from my Van Halen and Def Leppard albums. But, seriously, I was inspired by groups like the Imperials and 2nd Chapter of Acts too! I love any kind of music! Anything but rap....Really, diverse here. I appreciate it all pretty much, but I can't stand rap. Favorites now are: Aaron Shust, Jeremy Camp, Leeland, Carrie Underwood, Big Tent Revival, Bebo Norman, Jeff Deyo, Third Day and Selah. And yes, much to my husbands delight, I am now beginning to like country. What's happening to me???!!
12 Angry Men, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, anything with Sandra Bullock, or Tom Hanks, The Quiet Man, Going My Way, anything with Harrison Ford, and there's just way too many to mention. Oh, for sure the Red Violin, That thing you do, and I'm a big sucker for the scary flicks! (Not the stupid slasher ones, but the real edge of your seat ones)
Television
24 is an absolute in our home. Prison break is okay. Always a watcher of American Idol when it gets down to the final 12. I usually don't watch it until then.
Books
My Bible. It's the New Living Translation, and I can read it like a novel. It's my handbook for life as well as sheer poetry to read for enjoyment. Every answer for every question in life has been provided right there. Sometimes, you just have to dig a little to get the answers, but it's in there! I also love "Where the Red Fern Grows", "The Chronicles of Narnia", any Robin Cook and John Grisham and Steven King. Oh, and also the "Notebook".
Heroes
Jesus would have to be my choice. No other can relate to our human sufferings like He can, no other can relate to our pain and rejection that we feel sometimes, and no other can ever be so dependable. He's always there, He never fails, and He loves me unconditionally. No other friend would truly lay his life down for me, but He did! Isn't that amazing?
About me: I'm a Christian, a proud Mom to Josh and Landon, committed to my marriage and completely in love with my husband Jeremy. I am a very determined person and I plow through life's challenges head on. I was a single Mom for many years, and then met my husband in 1996. We began dating in 1997, and finally in 2001, we married! Through all the ups and the way, way downs, we are now more in love than ever! God has preserved our marriage through some tough times and we are really thankful for His hand in our marriage. I have experienced many losses in my life, (some of them leaving me anguished) but have come to learn that the only real dependable One is God. To depend on human beings solely, well, they will fall short and fail every time! I look to the Lord for every decision in my life, and He always comes through! My son Josh will tell you that I love thrill seeking adventures, yet I'm still mellow enough to enjoy a good book and some classical music. I can head bang with the best of them too when the mood strikes. I'm a tomboy at heart, and grew up around my Grandpa's motor cycles and learned to ride them before ever driving a car. However, I'm a lady too, and love to get dressed up and made up. I would love to tour the Harley Davidson factory in WI, and love the sound of a train near by. What I expect of others, I expect twice as much from myself, and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I put my own worm on the hook when I fish, and LOVE to go camping! I'm a very relational person, and don't let go of friends very easily. I'm loyal to my family and friends, and when I say I'll do something, I do it. Every day, I ask myself, "How have you honored God today?" I love, love, love being a Mom! It's the best and greatest gift, as well as the most awesome privilege. Well, that's me!

i just kinda feel like my life is crumbling in my hands... and there's not much i can do to stop it. every time i think i've made a good choice that will work out well, something goes wrong or something happens that makes me fall apart again. it's so hard....

Hi Christa!! Happy belated birthday!! We just got home last night from Las Vegas where Gavin seemed to pick up his first cold. :( I have not heard from Janelle. I have never been on facebook but I'm willing to give it a try. When things settle down a little and I actually have time to spend on it I will look into it. Gavin is getting so big and so quickly. He also got his 2nd bottom tooth while in Vegas. He's been a little fussy with that and a cold. We bought a new house and are getting some remodeling done now so that we can move in by New Year's. Ya...I moved into the new building. Still total chaos, but it will get better. It's different, the stress is high...not used to having so many people to supervise. I guess I should have listen better in my psycho class, maybe then I would be a better mind reader and would know when to keep my mouth shut, lol. I will grow into it...I hope.
