Bio
.............. ..youtube.com/christelsouth ..reverbnation.com/christelsouth.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ....We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success... .... Henry David Thoreau.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ....Be sure to look for "Cemetery Flowers" and "Battle Scars" by D.O.E. aka joe DOE featuring Christel South!!!.. ..http://sykophunk.com/ ..http://www.youtube.com/doe333 ..http://www.myspace.com/doe333 ...."There is a big difference between being broke because you're following your dreams, and being broke because you're not.".. ......My official bio... haha.... ..Born in her house in La Canada, CA, Christel South discovered her desire for a career in music while attending Crescenta Valley High School, where artists such as Eve 6 and System of a Down originated. Christel has always sung in school and church choirs; she also participated in numerous musical theatre productions, scoring lead roles in "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella," "Scrooge," "The Music Man," "West Side Story," and "Guys and Dolls." She first considered pursuing a music career at the age of ten, when Weird Al inspired her to form a joke band she called "Compost" with a couple of neighbor kids. As the founder and lead singer of Compost, Christel wrote countless joke songs such as "Boobytraps" and "Butts in the Night." A fan of No Doubt, she began taking voice lessons on and off at the age of twelve, and continued writing songs throughout her teenage years. Somewhere between the releases of Britney Spears' "Oops, I Did It Again" and Christina Aguilera's "Stripped," Christel's love for music caught fire and she began to consider a music career more seriously. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..Inspired by the incredible performances of these two icons as their careers developed, Christel began studying under vocal coach John Henny, who was instrumental in sculpting Christel's vocals. All the while, Christel has been developing her songwriting skills. Christel writes all of her own lyrics and music, and can take credit for nearly all of the arrangements and production; since July of 2009, Christel has been responsible for every beat and every note of every new song. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..Influenced by artists ranging from Depeche Mode to Lady Gaga to Eminem, Christel has been compared most to Fiona Apple, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Alicia Keys, and yes -- Weird Al, the Prince of Parodies who inspired her joke band Compost as a child. Christel sets her sights high and intends to have a long and rewarding career writing, performing, and one day producing other artists as well. Who knows... maybe one day she'll run for President! ...."It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong." ......--Voltaire.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .... ....................real..editor....best profile tools................real..editor....best profile tools..............How I made my profile:....I used Dave & Jay's amazing ..myspace editor............... -
