Hailing from a musical family, I grew up to the sound of pianos, guitars and singing. I began writing at the age of 8, at one poin, played violin, cello & bass, and currently perform on guitar & percussion (and sometimes piano).
I've lived in San Diego since 1994 and have been playing local venues, trying to start my own band(s), and just having fun meeting new musicians and talent. I recorded my first, full-length, professional album in 2000 under an indie label created by myself and Matt Ostrom called VIII:28 Productions. Co-produced by Josquin des Pres and myself, and recorded at Track Star Studios, "Voices will be Heard" was quite a learning experience. I was blessed to be able to work with recording artists such as Jon Mattox (The Young Dubliners, Uni), Jimmy Crespo (Aerosmith), and Scott Gorham (Richard Marx, Cher). The songs I have uploaded on this site are from "Voices", and do not reflect how my writing and vocals have evolved and matured over the past 6-7 years. I'm hoping to get some simple recordings of my newer songs up here soon.
I'm still trying to get the band together, but in the meantime, I try and play solo gigs around town when I'm not too busy. You should come out and hear the new stuff,... it's extremely different from what's playing on this site.
Hope you and enjoy the music and leave me a comment or message! In my blog, I post the lyrics of new songs as I write them, as well as thoughtful ramblings about my life. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks!
By the way, each week, my top friends rotate to reflect either who's gigging that particular week, or who I'm hanging out with, or who's got stuff going on that you should check out! :) See YOU in space!!!
