She’s a lefty, she walks in to glass doors on a regular basis, she loves thunderstorms, she DOES NOT like to wake up early, she steals covers, her favorite color is the color of the sky at sunset, she loves to look at the moon, she’s a Leo. Christiane has almost no sense of direction and gets turned around even in her hometown – but she has an uncanny memory for phone numbers. Christiane loves poetry – she loves to read it and she loves to write it. Christiane has been known to drink hot chocolate even on 90 degree days in the summer. Christiane LOVES the beach - she loves the sun, and the sand, string bikinis, and huge waves! Christiane first learned to play the piano on a wooden keyboard (that did not play). In high school Christiane trained to become a professional ballet dancer on full scholarship at The Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C. Christiane draws blood very nearly every time she restrings her guitar, she graduated from college in 3 short years before her 21st birthday, and she once traveled through the Greek Pelopeonnese Islands. Christiane and her sister Jocelyn co-founded Wildfire Productions in November of 2003. In three years Wildfire has produced two full length plays, a weekend of One Acts, several weekly reading series, and released Christiane’s debut album, Saltwater, under a division of Wildfire - O'Szabo Records.
Saltwater, was co-produced by Dave Eggar (recent solo release, "Left of Blue," Grammy nomination for production on David Chesky's "Chesky: Area 31"), Nik Chinboukas (Chris Caffery, Blow Up Hollywood), and Christiane Szabo. Saltwater was recorded at Spin Studios in Astoria, Queens, engineered by Nik Chinboukas, mixed by Yury Anisonyan at Optimum Sound Recording in Los Angeles, CA (Tia Sprocket, The Creins), and mastered by Glenn Schick at Glenn Schick Mastering, Atlanta, GA (Ludacris, YingYang Twins, Montell Jordan). The record features players Dave Eggar (Dave Sanborn, Manhattan Transfer, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Evanescence), Ian Riggs (One Ring Zero, Ethan Lipton), Shane Shanahan (Yo-Yo Ma – Silk Road Ensemble, Sonny Fortune, Philip Glass), and Marcus Wolf (Thalia, Desmond Child).

I just finished recording my 3rd release, Perfekt World, with an album release party on March 26th at Crash Mansion! Doors at 7 PM. I will also be at the Blender Theater at gramercy this Saturday night with Emerson Hart (from Tonic).
