It is written that we (as BELIEVERS) [SHOULD] "not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of {our} mind, that {we} may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God {for our lives}". (Rom.12:2 NKJV) When people treat us BAD, we (as Christians), should/MUST return EVIL with GOODNESS, thereby HONORING God and in turn showing respect for those He has created. We also keep our INTEGRITY and enhance our REPUTATIONS, and show our WILLINGNESS for God to deal with our enemies, according to [His] standard of JUDGMENT/JUSTICE, Amen?!
The Bible says "If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord will reward you". (Prov.25:21,22 Amp.) Hmmmm??!?

Because when testings come (and they WILL come "IF" you are Walking right), WE will either TRUST God's purposes and FIND Peace, OR "we" can Trust in our OWN plans, start walking in the "Vanity of our mind", thereby developing a NEGATIVE OUTLOOK or DISPOSITION and thus DEVELOPING A BITTER, and CYNICAL heart. We may NOT like our situation (and in MOST cases "we" WON'T), BUT, because WE "Are CHRISTIANS"; because we are a "Chosen Generation; because we are a Royal Priesthood; because we are a Holy Nation and a Peculiar People"...WE... "SHOULD"... LOVE...GOD and WE...MUST...TRUST..."HIS"...WILL FOR OUR LIVES!
The Bible says "And going a little further, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face and prayed saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me, nevertheless, not what I will [not what I desire], but as You will and desire" (Matt.26:39 AMP).
The Bible also says "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jer.29:11 AMP). Is that where the phrase "Trusting God's Purposes" came from......Hmmm?!!?

I recently came back from a long, difficult and stressful day at work, and I got really irate. I decided to do something I don't do often enough, so I lit a candle, dusted of my crucifix and set up a sort of meditation kit right there on the floor. I sat cross legged on the floor in a room lit only by the candle (representing the 'light of the world' of course), and all engaged in reflective prayer. All I had to do was think of Gods love, and suddenly, I felt alot better. I found myself smiling, just thinking about Gods love conceptually. I whispered the prayer of St. Theresa a few times which seemed appropriate because of the day I had "Let nothing trouble you...everything passes away...God never changes...patience obtains all..." and that helped too. I felt really spiritually connected that evening. God's love, really, I mean, wow. Just thought you'd like to know.
