About me: Christian Music Review was first launched on-line September 24, 2004 by former radio personality, Jay Heilman. "I had just gotten finished working with WZPH-LP 96.7, The Switch in Zephyrhills, FL and felt the Lord wanted me to stay in the music ministry, only from a different point of view" Heilman recalls. "That's where I came up with the idea for Christian Music Review. A friend of mine (Greg Clifton) were talking on the phone one night and I remember asking him what he thought I should do. He said "You know, you did radio, why not do on-line reviews of music?". As they say in the movies, "The rest was history". Heilman maintained and wrote reviews for the site alone for the first year and half, but soon into 2006 felt the need for more help. Since 2006, 6 writers have lent their assistance in the review writing, and currently as of February 2009, Christian Music Review has a writing team, or 'Review Crew' as Heilman calls it, of 5 writers including himself. Leading up things are Heilman, 28; ; Liz Zelinski, 23; Ben Collins, 29; Ben's younger brother Barry Collins, 20; Aaron Hassen, 30; and Kevin Davis, 37.
