Christina Brodie is a creative powerhouse with astonishing talents in all three disciplines of art, music and writing. Previously a botanical artist, she now designs fashion gloves. She cites as her main inspirations the milliner Stephen Jones "who did for hats what I want to do for gloves", watch designers Swatch, and a dose of fun and English traditionalism. She is also an accomplished songwriter, her idol being Kate Bush, and plays mandolin, guitar and keyboard. (see World Of Christina).

After a productive recording year, collaborating with talented producer Anthony Galatis, Christina has produced the album "Christina Brodie Forever" (inc. "Kick You", "Love Can Turn It Around") and EP "Modern Dreams" (inc. "Aviator", "Bear Market"), released on 29th March 2009. These are available from CdBaby.com.

Christina does all her own photography and artwork/concepts for her CDs, and has produced videos for several of her songs using graphic packages, animation and puppetry. These can be seen at Christina's Youtube video channel here.The gothic ballad "Loving You" illustrates a love affair between an angel and a vampire that goes wrong; the pair engage in a spectacular swordfight. The angel successfully weakens the vampire through exposure to garlic and sunlight prior to the dramatic - and somewhat symbolic - conclusion.

Writing

As an author, Christina has written three books about art instruction ("Drawing and Painting Plants", "Making Fashion Bags and Purses" and "Making Scarves, Collars, Ties & Belts") for publishers A & C Black.
